Pair this limited-run mug with a bag of Naked Coffee, or give it to a tea drinker for a small gift that supports stewardship of our urban forest. The tree rings featured in the design came from a local redwood we salvaged from the landfill in 2018, which has since been milled into lumber and sent back into our community. Have you ever wandered around town and wondered, “What type of tree is that?” Grab this entertaining and easy-to-use field guide to help identify 150+ of the most common trees in California’s urban and natural landscapes, or gift it to the budding naturalists in your life.

City of Trees face mask – $10 
Help your loved ones show off their Sacramento pride with City of Trees hand-crafted face masks from the Spread Love Project. When the pandemic shut down many businesses and created extra waste from disposable masks, local entrepreneur Tyler Wunsch teamed up with artisans he met while traveling in the Yucatán to create beautiful, reusable masks. Each purchase provides another mask free of charge for low-income individuals. Availability of individual designs varies, but there is always a wide selection of seasonal, nature-themed, and Sacramento designs.

Whether you have a special someone who is hard to shop for, or you want to celebrate without all the ‘stuff’ – consider making a gift to the Sacramento Tree Foundation in honor or memory of a loved one. Your gift will support our efforts to grow and care for the urban forest in under-canopied neighborhoods that don’t have enough trees, and open spaces where trees provide habitat for wildlife and a respite from city life. We’ll notify your loved one of the gift if you wish. All donations are tax deductible.
