Services for Land Managers

The NATURE program has been working with public land managers in Sacramento County for almost a decade.

Our purpose is to retain and restore the heritage of native trees in Sacramento County with special emphasis on our native oak trees. To date the NATURE program has planted and cared for over 10,000 native trees in our public spaces.

The NATURE program can provide at little or no cost:

  • Native trees
  • Tree stewardship for the first 3 years
  • Irrigation funding
  • Habitat enhancements
  • Project design assistance
  • Event management and educational programs

To nominate a greenbelt, park, or open space or to talk more about how the NATURE program can help you plant and care for native trees, please contact the NATURE Program Manager at (916) 924-8733 x 125.
