Native Trees in Urban and Rural Environments
The NATURE Program seeks to retain the natural character of Sacramento County by replanting native trees that have been lost due to development projects.
The program is a partnership with the County of Sacramento and seeks to plant 1,000-2,500 native trees per year. NATURE trees are also cared for by volunteers and NATURE staff for the first three years to guarantee healthy establishment. Trees planted by the NATURE Program have protected status so they are planted in public open spaces, parks, greenbelts, and schools where they can grow to connect us with our natural heritage.
Contact our NATURE Program Department at nature@sactree.com to request more information or to report a problem at a NATURE site.
